Thanked: 0Greetings from Bulgaria
Hi forum,
Greetings from a total beginner from Bulgaria. I'm 23 and have been thinking about a straight razor for a while, right now I'm trying to find the best I can buy in my area. I will post a thread in the Beginners forum and see what info I can gather
This looks like the best place on the web to get information and even motivation (not that I need any of that). Amazing community! I'm looking forward to talking with you guys.

Welcome Kodama. You are in the right place as far as information on straight razors (SR). Check out the library to find answers to most of your questions. You can also check the members list to find members near you that can assist you in finding the right first razor and teach you how to map your face, strop, lather and shave. A good place to find a first razor is from the vendors here, they should have everything you need to start.

i am just going to agree with the last two posts, welcome to the forum too by the way. Figure out what you would like to know and we will surely help you, also bear in mind that the wiki has a lot of good info in it. it is also worth browsing the beginners forum for answers too, there tends to be themes with the questions asked, and similarly with the answers given. all the best Ed.

Let me join in on welcoming you to SRP. You've gotten good advice in the previous posts. Let me just add don't rush things. Take your time, try to master one area at a time. This isn't a race, but a steady progression of steps as you master one area at a time. And the last step, at least a year from now would be to learn how to hone our own razors. It is nothing like honing a knife - apples and oranges, night and day kind of thing. Patience and read the wikis, view the videos and ask, ask, ask questions.
