Here's a nasty pic of my knee over a week after it happened & I was wearing jeans with leather chaps & my leather jacket along with my full face helmet. I would be selling ALL my razors right now because if I didn't have that helmet on, I wouldn't have a face left or I wouldn't be typing this post. I might not even be here but the impaired driver would be! My knee is still swollen too.
Impaired driving I have no tolerance for, if you drink, don't drive, it really is that simple, and there is no excuse for it - period. I'd sue the b$stard....

A lot of the "bikers" in Toronto, seem to be the type that spend $50,000 on a Harley and have less than 500 km on them...and that's after 5 years...those types and the kids on those super-charged Japanese bikes who we read about here almost every weekend being killed or injured, just too much power and not enough experience. Just your saying jeans, leather etc., undoubtedly made a huge difference, lots I see around here have little to no protection on.

And as you say, experience and caution are everything, and yours served you well and that pic looks very nasty and painful...looks like it's a lot more than road rash as well. Is there any joint or bone damage?
