Thanked: 3I've been tempted to look at other blades, but honestly the edge is so smooth on my TI right now, I don't think anything will get any better than this. After I chipped my razor and got it rehoned, the difference in shave quality is pretty much night and day. I can almost shave dry with minimal irritation right now. And just to be clear, the blade didn't come from the store like that. I hope the edge holds and stays that way for a while before I need to send it back out to be honed again. I did some research and apparently my blade is using TI's C135 steel which is supposed to be a good quality steel. As long as I perfect my stropping technique, the edge should hold. I am kind of curious about the big heavy blades though. I have this notion in my head that for some reason, a heavier blade would be easier to shave with due to the weight.
I'm more interested in different creams and soaps now than I am with blades. The trick is accumulating a decent sample of products without throwing my bank account off balance. haha. Any recommendations you guys might have are extremely welcome. Tell me about your favorite products and I'll give them a whirl. Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
