Hi and welcome. Dovo class thier razors as shave ready from the factory. They are sold by some outlets as such but unless it has be hand honed after the factory it is doubtful it will be shave ready. Good luck and any questions feel free to ask

Welcome to the world of straight shavers. Dovo is a good razor to start with. I would suggest as I always do to watch as many straight razor shaving videos as possible before you start. There are many folks with videos on straight razor shaving. to get started just type in Lynn Abrams straight razor shaving youtube and that'll get you there. not only will it show him but others I can't remember. Someone else has already said that the factory ships the razors supposedly shave ready but for me I would make sure and ask the folks you bought it from if they had it pro honed before it shipped. That will make a world of difference. If not the classifieds here will give many names of good hone masters. Welcome again.
