If you would like I can take a bit of the Fang from the Tiger by dulling the tip a bit. Square points aren't bad to use, yes you need to be more careful then a Round points but far from using a 'Spike point' in that a square point as a very small radius where a spike point is a direct 90 deg and is sharp right to the tip.

Give it some more thought, If you would like to 'Try Before You Keep' we can do that also. If nothing else it will give you an idea of what a DD shaves like. You may find that you like this one and keep using it while you keep up your search for an ever so slightly larger DD with a round point.

    Let me know your thoughts.

I've been thinking about your very generous offer, and would be honored to take you up on it. I'll just be very slow going in the beginning. I've watched many videos, but I think it's time to jump on the horse. Thank you very much again for even considering doing this, and getting a razor of that caliber ready to go is amazing.

First and Foremost I want All to Know that I'm able to gift you this very nice razor because a friend sent it and a few other Very Nice Razors to me to be Specifically 'Given To Those Who Want To Learn This Age Old Art' he wishes to remain anonymous so I will heed his wishes.

If you will PM me I'll get things going.

When you receive it I 'Do Hope' that you will take care of it and that includes having a decent strop to maintain the edge. A Strop is Not an Option when using a Straight.

Take your time, Go Slow! This Age Old Art has a Huge Learning Curve but once Semi Mastered is VERY REWARDING.

If you do make using a Straight Razor a 'Way of Life' I hope that you will pass a razor, a strop, soap whatever forward to someone new who wishes to learn.

    Sanfte Rasur, mein Klingenbruder!
