Thanked: 0Mahalo nui loa for the warm welcome. I spent most of yesterday taking Phrank and Cris's advice, reading in the library, and watching videos...
I read "First Shave" and was about to by that old Boker straight that's in classified, when I realized Lynn said, Start on one cheek with the straight, and finish with a regular razor; so, I need another razor before I get the straight, or I'll look real funny for at least a week.
Thanks again for all of the advice. You guys saved me a bunch of time, and blood. I'm really glad I joined this site!

Thanked: 0I got it!
I tried the bottom of my neck the other day, and my whole neck today.
And... not one drop of blood so far.
Hopefully I'll be back in a few days, saying the same thing.
Thanks everybody, for all of your help!

Mohalo from a haole on the biggest island of all Australia.
Welcome to the forum and I hope you enjoy the journey, always shave for comfort is my advice to newbie’s. As far as goats milk is concerned I have heard it does not lather up too well, but have never tried it so give us your opinion.A good lather is half the shave.

Thanked: 0I couldn't get the goat milk soap I wanted.
I got some Dr. Bronners unscented bar soap which didn't lather much; so, grated it, added some castor oil, some bentonite clay, kaolin clay, and honey to it... and it lathers like shaving cream!
