    Default New from Down Under

Hi Guys, new here and relatively new to wet shaving (2 months with safety razor) and I do wish to someday master a straight razor.

Hi Mate !!....Welcome, you've come to the right place.
There are plenty of resources here.
For a good introduction, go to the top of the page and click "Library".
Don't forget to introduce yourself on the "Downunder" sub-forum.
Have fun and don't be bashful.

    Welcome!

Starting with a safety razor helps a lot, since you don't have to learn everything at once...making lather with brush and soap or cream, shaving angles, pressure, etc. I found the learning curve from safety to straight to be easier than from cartridge to safety, so you're well on your way.

Welcome aboard to SRP. You'll find a wealth of info here with many members of knowledge so ask questions whenever you have any. Also just browse the site, especially the Library & start in the Beginners Guide & work from there. You'll be amazed! There are also many here from down under so you might find someone close to you who might be of some help.
    Good luck my friend.

Welcome to the forum. I still use my safety razor most of the. Just dont try to do a full shave with a SR until you've had some practice.

    Welcome aboard.
You may conquer the straight, but to master,,!
Been at it for 30 yrs.
and wouldn't say im a master.
But very relaxed and comfortable at it.
Kind of like breathing or riding a bike.
    Its second nature.
