Welcome aboard new friend, sometimes we need to just understand one another is all. I have to ask who is that your shaving my computer imaging is not the clearest. Take now offense but it looks like a boxer dog getting a shave.

ok...I was afraid to ask at first. In case it was a family member or someone. God he must be a great dog to let you do that to him. Great picture.

Welcome! There's a wealth of information to be gained here. I've certainly learned a lot in the short time I've been here. Maybe too much, lol.

Welcome Andonis the force seems to be with you. I look forward to more interesting discussions without the straight razor police pulling you over for driving a mach 3.

Pathology 101, you made me laugh that's not my dog I just love the picture.... Not sure why anyone would be shaving a dog in any case.

Razorfaust, my father drives a mach3. I am strictly Wilkinson sword haha just kidding.... I only drive a Wilkinson's sword at rare moments of weakness when my v20 engine issard seems to lack handling on cobblestone roads roads (of course I refuse to blame the driver... He's Greek.... He's therefore never wrong).

Razorfaust, my father drives a mach3. I drive him in my issard sometimes but

I've been using SRs since I was around 15. I love good quality blades generally and am particularly fond of Japanese kitchen knives and straight razors, although I also own a Japanese katana as I am a martial artist also (aikido & iaido).
The newest addition to my SR collection is a boker arbolito, which is very nice to look at and was excited to receive, although annoyingly did not arrive shave ready (sharp, but not as sharp as any of my thiers issards when they arrived) so careful if you buy one of these.
Anyway, I'm not sure what else I am supposed to say about me as an introduction but wanted to say a brief hello after already seemingly having raised some eyebrows in one of the other threads here and accused of being a troll both in the internet sense and in the appearance sense.... Which I am not just to be clear (what can I say, I'm known for making an entrance). I come in peace.
    Welcome to SRP Andonis
I don't get it............I've been checking for new members about every hour & suddenly there you are with 2 pages already!!!! Oh well, sorry I'm late to the party. I'm sure you already know enough from what all the others have said so it is great to have you here & I hope you enjoy this forum. Oh & Boker's are supposed to be shave ready but we've heard it so many times from others that they don't come shave ready like they say they do!
    Good luck my friend.

Thanks guys, I've had a good welcoming, albeit after a bit if a shakey start.... Although it does make for amusing reading.

Here a fun factoid.... I'm currently in new Orleans on holiday after driving down from mickey mouse world in Orlando where I bought a new thiers issards buffalo horn SE from the art of shaving shop in Orlando. Beautiful piece although the "the art of shaving" logo on the blade king of spoils it for me a bit. What I like about animal horn scales for SRs is that every scale is totally unique by the very nature that the horn color pattern act like a finger print. And unlike my recent boker arbolito, this blade did come shave ready! A lovely shave too. I also recently bought a lovely strop from straight razor designs that I took advantage of ordering seen as I am in the states currently. Amazing strop. The leather initially had a few imperfections on it that catch on the blade and arrived slightly bowed but they very quickly sent me a replacement that is faultless. The best strop I've seen so far, I must admit. Highly recommended.

I'm glad you're happy with the strop. They do have quality products & the bowed strop was probably overlooked accidentally. I'm glad they sent you another one.
