Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself
Hello all, just wanted to introduce myself as I am new to this forum and admittedly have never been part of any forum before. My name is Andoni and I live in London. I've been using SRs since I was around 15. I love good quality blades generally and am particularly fond of Japanese kitchen knives and straight razors, although I also own a Japanese katana as I am a martial artist also (aikido & iaido).
The newest addition to my SR collection is a boker arbolito, which is very nice to look at and was excited to receive, although annoyingly did not arrive shave ready (sharp, but not as sharp as any of my thiers issards when they arrived) so careful if you buy one of these.
Anyway, I'm not sure what else I am supposed to say about me as an introduction but wanted to say a brief hello after already seemingly having raised some eyebrows in one of the other threads here and accused of being a troll both in the internet sense and in the appearance sense.... Which I am not just to be clear (what can I say, I'm known for making an entrance). I come in peace.

Many thanks Andonis for your intro. Much appreciated. As you continue on with the forum you will find that we are an unusual bunch of guys and gals that sometimes shift over into the silly, funny, and at times outrageous areas of interchange. And yes, we are sensitive to scammers, trolls, miscreants and the like for the simple reason that we are serious in our pursuit to broaden ours, and every ones, understanding of wet shaving. Here's to a clean beginning and many interchanges of information as we are all eager to learn something new each day if we can (how else to stay young at heart despite your years?). Welcome.

Welcome Andonis, hopefully everything calms down quickly, usually does.
But enjoy yourself, enjoy all there is, learn all you want.
These are a great bunch of folks here, and we help each other in any way possible.Mike
