I should have also mentioned that originally I'm from Poland and I remember reading somewhere that there were polish made straights that were popular at one point. If you guys can some some light on that it would be great. I think it would be awesome to start my adventure into straights with one that was made in the same country I was.
Wapenica razor are from Poland. At one point they were quite plentiful but these days they are a little harder to come by but by no means rare.

Welcome to the forum, I would suggest reading through the library and beginners forum and ask as many questions as you like.

The Polish razors are referred to as Wapi's.. There is one member here who has a bunch of them, never used.

Heres a link to the "Advanced Search" function on the forum. At the topish right of the page you'll see the Google custom search box. I don't ever use it. Just under it is the "Advanced Search" function. This link...... Advanced Search - Straight Razor Place Forum Using "keywords" I entered Polish, Poland and it produced 16 pages of posts. I didnt look through them, but you might give it a shot and find some more info on Polish razors.

Welcome to the forum!! Hope you find it beneficial, and, fun!!

    Regards,

    Howard

might be worth putting a "wanted" add in the classifieds. Make sure you buy one from a member capable of making it truly shave ready, or buy one with the knowledge you will have to put in a bit more cash to send it to a honemeister.
