    Judging by the etch, and the finish on the small bit of razor showing, I am going to go with a guess that it is a new manufacture by one of the new breed of razor makers. Kind of like the if Brian Brown used BB for his mark.

    No telling who made it but it is more than likely a new maker just starting out. I just noticed the grind goes all the way back into the tang as well.
    kapenakeoni, have you asked the person who gave it to you? Maybe they might be able to help trace it back to its origin.

    The heel looks a bit odd. Would be interesting to see a photo of the whole razor.

    I'm leaning towards it being a recently made custom rather than an older mass-produced razor
