Thanked: 55Normally strop a little after shave to make sure edge is dry and clean. I do ten linen and ten leather. About twenty linen and fifty leather is what I do before a shave. SRD ie Lynn will have honed and stropped the razor before sending it out and you don't want to damage his fine work by beginner stropping before you see what a truly Shave Ready edge is like. We have most of us damaged nice edges while learning to strop. Be sure to wipe off the oil carefully before shaving though. The number of strokes stropping varies from person to person, as does when they strop. Some only after, some couple after and more before etc. Enjoy.

Thanked: 1081Depends... SRD used to always strop before sending out their razors but reading an earlier post from Lynn this is no longer the case.
Best PM Lynn for confermation.
Stropping should be done everytime you use it.
Read everything in the SRP library, everything you need to know is in there.
Welcome and good luck.
