    Default Hello all from London!

    Hi Guys,

I have been thinking of making the switch from cartridges to a cut throat for a while now. I finally decided to take the plunge and on doing some research realised that what I thought I was going to move to (a shavette) would probably not be quite as satisfying as a straight razor.

When researching what to get this forum always had the best advice so joining was essentially. Although I will probably be mainly asking questions at first, hope to be able to answer them in the future!

A few of us may inadvertently add to your problems. If that happens, this is your only recourse: hit the Like in the bottom right of the post then quickly hit the Unlike. This is unsatisfying but frequently the best action.
So, this is fun...taking something as mundane as shaving, and spending the time and effort to transform it into...well, here you have to fill in your own words. Give it some time, you won't be sorry.

    Hello and Welcome.
As you are probably well aware, the library is a good place to spend some time browsing as there are answers to questions you haven't even thought of yet.

Thanks guys. Weirdly I'm particularly interested in an aspect of this totally unrelated to the quality of the shave itself. I have a very stressful city job and am looking forward to the shave itself as quite therapeutic routine. I'm sure it will be anything but relaxing at first but hopefully over time...

    Welcome..
It is very relaxing, just wish my beard grew faster, so I could shave everyday.
But make sure you get your mind off work while shaving. Oh the horror!!!
