Thanked: 0John from the UK here .
Hi guys , thought I would sign in here before having a good look around . I have always been interested in sharp things and having been collecting pocket knives for a while I naturally started to have an interest in sharpening .
Started to see the possibility of bringing a straight razor back to life , I have seen quite a few in the antiques shops around here . That of course led to Youtube and then to DE shaving as a step towards straight razors , and now I am looking for interesting razors on Ebay . Doesn't one thing lead to another , well now before putting steel to cheek I guessed it would be best to have a good look at this site and learn as much as I can .

Thanked: 433Welcome!!!
Most of us followed the same path. Razor honing is very different than knife sharpening so watch a few videos or try and find someone local to you to take you through it. There are lots of UK users here.
