Thanked: 0Hello All!
new member,Straight razor shaving less than one month, wanting to learn what is almost a lost art. Too few men today have little to no skills in our automated digital world, and while I love technology, there is something to be said for some of the old ways. I started in to straight razor shaving because ultimately it will be cheaper than expensive cartridges. I learned how to shave with an old school double edge safety razor, and recently switched back, then decided to go all out into the REAL old school way of using a straight razor. I am eager to learn! So any and all suggestions and tips will be taken seriously! Looking forward to learning all I can!

Hello and welcome to SRP, Trey.
I suggest reading the information in the SRP library focused on starting out and buying your first razor. The second bit of advice is to be conservative in your razor buying at first. The classifieds here are a great place to find good razors that are shave ready.

Thanked: 228Welcome to SRP. I don't know about saving money though. Lot's of us kinda go a bit batty and accumulate more razors and or soaps than we can use up in a long long time. Smooth shaves to you!
