Thanked: 0Hello from NZ
Hi found this site a couple of days ago. I've been a DE shaver for about 18 months now and loving it. I wished I started years ago.
I've just purchased a shavette and am interested in getting a Straight. Loving the information here, lots of great stuff for us newbies.

Thanked: 1Gidday Indiana from North Canterbury. Just getting into things myself too, picked up a Gold Dollar 208 plus strop from Bill Whiskers but couldn't stop there and scored a couple of vintages on TradeMe that I'm currently attempting to restore. Good luck and let me know if you come across any good sources of SR gear in NZ! Cheers, Rob

Thanked: 0Ha, I can believe that!
I first started DE shaving due to razor burn with cartridges but the next benefit I saw was saving on blades. I can see that benefit being whittled away as I but different razors, brushes, creams etc. That's even before I buy a straight razor. No regrets though. I really enjoy a DE shaving which wasn't the case with the Gillette Machs and looking forward to trying a straight.
