Actually Brad (Maggard) is the person I bought the Sheffield from. He was the begining point of my do-over.

I guess I'll echo previously stated advice...start out with a pro-honed razor, or two, and give the SRP library and credible youtube videos a good going over, don't hesitate to ask questions.

Well, you are on my front porch. PM me if you need some help, samples, or just to get together. You could also try out some other blades of mine to get a feel for what you might like. If you have already been to Adrian (Maggards), then you know how much your wallet can be in danger

Well coach you sure got that right. I'm just getting started and I already have made 2 purchases. The Sheffield from Maggard and this one that came in the mail today.
the blade looks pretty good. Straight, no cracks

That's a very generous offer, regarding trying razors from your collection. I think I will stick with using just one for the start to try and get my technique under control. Maybe after I'm getting consistent results I'll hit you up for a recommendation of something else to try.

I prefer to support the local people too. I rather spend money in a shop where the owner is there working.
