Thanked: 1184You must have been a good boy :<0) 1 thing I will add, there is no such thing as too much stropping !
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

That's a beaut. From what I have been reading, some "shave ready" razors still need a little honing.

Welcome aboard and and G'day from Gladstone Daz,
Where in QLD are you mate, there are lots of Qlders on SRP and there may be someone close who can help mentor you to get you on the right track, transitioning from the shavette to the full str8 especially with stropping
Cheers Dion

Thanked: 2Thanks for the welcome!
Its obviously a quality blade which is why I'm scared to death when i strop let alone start honing.
The local barber hosts lessons every few months so no doubt that will be useful.
Maybe even some guidance on a starter kit (pastes, stones etc).
Ive seen some comprehensive threads on here but haven't the balls to give it a go, especially as I know the price of the razor!

http://straightrazorpalace.com/memberlist.php?do=search
Check out the members search function but unfortunately it is limited the info put in as your location
Hence the more specific your details the easier it is to find close by help
Cheers DSaved,
to shave another day.
