If it is a water spot, try getting a pencil rubber with a tiny dot of metal polish on it and polish only the spot, should clean it off ok
Just don't polish the edge at all as it will kill the edgeSaved,
to shave another day.

Thanks for getting back to me, tried every trick i could find on the web with no joy! Didnt want to be too adventurous as I didnt want to do any damage. Ill just keep an eye on it.
