Welcome to the forum! You will indeed fit in well here. Learning to shave with a straight will be the easy part. The difficulty will come when you have to further split your recreational budget into yet another hobby/interest. You'll find that a dozen razors will not adequately cover all of the various countries of origin, sizes, and grinds. Then there's the hones (synthetics vs. naturals), all manner of lovely strops, creams/soaps and after shaves.
Did I hit all the bases?
