Eagle County, well your over on the West side. Ha. I get over that way while working sense i drive a truck hauling gas. That Glenwood Canyon is a place that should be one of the wonders of the world. Just beautiful.
As said, if you have questions just ask. The one thing that helped me the most was the saying "shave the lather not the skin". Sounds like you got a good start. Take your time. No need to rush. Just watch the lather as the longer it takes to shave the drier the lather will get.
Welcome!It's just Sharpening, right?

Welcome to SRP! You're off to a fine start, and I am betting you will enjoy the larger blade when it arrives. Be sure to get together with someone in your area or attend a local meet-up to seriously cut down the learning curve, too.
Have fun.--Mark

Welcome to SRP - you are among friends (and enablers...let's not sugar-coat it..)
And you are well on your way in learning the skill, I think I took me 45 minutes to do my first shaves and I thought I was going to need a transfusion..
My $0.02...try to pace yourself...if you are not careful you end up with drawers of this stuff...
Smooth shaving..Support Movember!

Welcome to srp! Taking your time is all part of what makes the shave enjoyable. Shave the lather not the skin was some of the best advice I received also. In time it does speed up some.

Hey Enginemonkey, Another Coloradan here. Most people say that it takes 100 shaves to build good solid technique. I remember that I was still learning things at 500 shaves. It just keeps getting better.

Here are some pictures from our last meet. This one ended up pretty small, we usually get 10-12.
