Is there a country of origin stamped on the tang ? I have my doubts about the quality of these razors but haven't ever honed one.
If there is no country stamped on the blade you can assume its made in Pakistan & won't ever shave well.
Actually, these came up a couple of years ago.

Thanked: 0I didn't notice anything stamped on it, so it's probably not very good. I'll have to find a cheapish ready to shave blade from someone on the forum. I haven't the slightest what I'm looking at currently.

Look in the BST forum you'll find something there for sure.

Hi and welcome aboard. Check out the bst or get new from a reputable vendor. Most of the bigger Aussie sites do sell good razors but would need to be sent to Oz for honing. If unsure just post and we will help out

Thanked: 0Shave number 3:
Prep was only a hot shower, lathered with Proraso White, single pass with the grain.
Prior to shaving I have the blade a light hone (10 laps on the stone the kit came with) and stropped 30 laps. Definitely a better shave than the last 2, blade mustn't have had a good edge (and likely still doesn't)

Gday mate.
Definitely look into another razor. A good used vintage will serve you well without breaking the bank.
You seem to be as determined as I was in the beginning, and would shave with anything.
Do yourself a favor. And go with a reputable brand, for a straight. It'll open your eyes.!Mike
