Hi and welcome aboard. Since in Canada Classic edge would be a good recommendation for razor and strop. He hones to shave ready by all reports

Funny you say that I just ordered a dovo from him yesterday. I called him with some questions and he was very helpful. Seems like a really nice guy and cares about his customers. Good price on the dovo and when you buy from him you get a free follow up honing. A friend loaned me a straight but I don’t think it’s near shave ready. Figured I would be better off getting one from Classic edge and then I will know what it’s supposed to be like.
