    Default hello from new guy

    Hello from Ontario Canada. New to this straight razor thing. Wanted to do it for years. So far I’m enjoying shaving with my new badger brush, mug,and sandlewood cream. Next step is to get a truly shave ready razor. Would not mind buying used from a person that knows how to properly hone and strop a blade so I know what a blade should be like. Maybe someone can recommend someone or an e bay seller? Learning lots , thanks for sharing you knowledge.

    Hi, Adam. Welcome to Straight Razor Place!

    The Buy/Sell/Trade section here is a good place to look for a straight razor. Check frequently, new listings are always coming up. Maybe some of the Ontario guys can recommend a local retailer.

    Do yourself a favor, until you know more about razors (most info is here on srp), stay away from ebay. The classified's here are truly the place to check out razors. If someone says it's shave ready, most likely it is as they shave with straight razors. Ebay...who freaking knows.

    Find a mentor, there are several up around your neck of the woods...but obtaining a razor is literally at your fingertips and your mailbox.
