Thanked: 23Good morning Toroblanco! Thanks for the offer! I'd be happy to take you up on the offer for some help and education. I've made considerable strides and can now get a usable edge off of my Norton 8k, but if your willing to spend a few minutes to help me improve that would be great! I'll send over a message later today and we can continue the conversation. Thanks again!

No problem cwomg, send me a pm and we can set a good time. I'm glad to help out! I have a butterscotch Arkansas, a couple of Thuris, and a few Nakayama Jnats you can test out to see what you like the best!

Hello cwomg, and welcome! I'm retired Navy (but spent my whole career with the USMC). The more you use your SR the more you'll enjoy the experience!! It's ok to take some time with it, 30-40 minutes is just fine. Remember what someone famous once said (I don't recall who), "slow is smooth and smooth is fast". Taking your time is the best way to go, you get used to the way your SR works and figure out things about how to make your shaving more enjoyable that way. SRP is a great resource, lots of friendly people here who can answer questions and appreciate your input and posts! Welcome aboard, shipmate!!

Thanked: 23Hi Jimdnp, it is pretty interesting how much different my shaves are between this original posting and now. My shave routine is probably around 25 minutes, and quite a bit less stressful that it was then lol. Thanks for *your* service and thanks for making me feel Welcome!
