Keep your eye on the b.s.t. thread as you can pick up a user grade razor for a low cost. Then all that 8s needed is a strop. You can get a strop for a low cost too. No need to spend big money when getting started. Dont worry about hones. Two razors and a strop is what you need to learn the S.R. and send your razors out for honing. Its best when learning to have pro honed razors.

Lots of soaps on the market. Oleo has some quality stuff and if your going low cost you cant beat arko. There is a thread on this site about first tier soaps and creams. Read a bit of it and you will learn alot obout soaps.
