Hello everyone, I want to introduce myself to the forum and let everyone know I new to straight razor shaving. I look forward to learning as much as I can from the member here in my pursuit of straight razor shaving.
I look forward to interfacing with members on forum and getting advice from them to gain as much knowledge as I can about straight razor shaving.

Welcome to SRP!
We have a lot of great folks here that are very willing to help you along this journey you are about to start. Go slow! Take your time!
The saying is it takes 100 shaves before you really start to understand what your doing so no rush.
Expect some shaves with irritation as you learn pressure and angle.
Be sure to have a Pro-Honed Razor. This will remove the biggest part of issues in learning.
Practice stropping.
Learn to make lather.
A lot of things to learn before the shaves get easy so start with the basics.
And ASK QUESTIONS. We are here to help.It's just Sharpening, right?

Welcome from Nags Head, 3 hours east of you! One of my sons went to NC State and now lives in Raleigh with his wife and our grandson. You will find lots of friends here, and much good advice!
