    Default Absolute Newb!

Hey all, been using a straight for a month or so now and thoroughly enjoying it! First was a Peters Brothers that was gifted and should be back from a touch up Friday. Then I bought a Phoenix & Bohler. Still cutting myself some but certainly getting better

It is often said it takes 100 shaves to get the hang the process

Welcome to the forum. Look around, read some posts and some articles in the library. That's a great place to pick up tips for everything from shaving to stropping to restoring razors. There are good search tools for any information you might be looking for. there is a wealth of information already here but if you get stuck or can't find it feel free to ask and someone will help you or help you find what you need.

Shaving daily with a straight sounds like a pretty good start to me, after my first straight shave I needed almost a week of healing before my skin was ok enough to try again.

Kept reading your thread title as Absolut Newb...this spirit tastes underdone no doubt.

Welcome to the sport and be sure to ask any SR shaving questions that come to mind. Cheers!
