Thanked: 0Hi from Montreal
Been messing around with straights for a couple years, met a couple of folks from this forum at a little meetup last summer. Was gonna post a pic of a nice little Wade & Butcher I'm working on right now as an icebreaker, but can't figure out how to post pics lol. Anyway, just saying hi, I guess!

Thanked: 133welcome to the club!
To add a photo, when in the screen that you type a message click on the symbol that looks like a square with a tree in it (3rd from the last symbol). Then you can click choose file from computer and add one in. Also some people use an app called Imgur and then just copy paste the link

Thanked: 0Ah, thanks kindly. I didn't seem to have access to that menu when I made the previous post. Let's see, does this work?

Thanked: 0Thanks, all. Hey Badgister, I believe we chatted at that meetup last summer, mostly about coticules and a little about the housing crisis. Nice seeing you around these parts. So hey, does anybody wanna take a stab at dating that Wade I'm working on? I think I've narrowed it down to somewhere between 1860 and 1890, but I really don't know. Or should I post about that elsewhere here?

Thanked: 0BTW I'm always too much of a doofus to remember to take proper "before" pics, but that thing was just covered in active rust. The pic is of the razor after spending two afternoon sessions going at it with 220 w/d. I could probably do a third but I'm starting to wear down the etchings and frankly can't wait to get this thing on the stones, so I think tomorrow I'm gonna go get it polished up and see what kind of edge it takes.
