Thanked: 7Ha, sorry for the long delay in responding.
I was at the B&B forums for a few months, till I made a comment on the way they ran an auction...and got banned without warning or notice.
Totally weak. (Both the banning action, and the triggered moderator).
Anyhoo...glad to (hopefully) find a second home.
I'm sure I'll know some of y'all from the other forum. And I'm hoping to reconnect, as they were pretty cool, and loved their straight razor shaves. (Like I do).
Anyhoo...to answer your last question (from waaaaaay back in August)...it got toasty like it normally does here.
Hade a few days above the 109F range. But that's normal, and a walk in the park for this boy.
Its starting to cool off now (Halloween), and the temps are in the cooler 75F-80F range.
Looking at my original post, I'm on something like my 80th straight razor shave, and waiting on a custom Koraat 14-2.0 to arrive any day now. (It was shipped out from Austria about 3 weeks ago).
I've been working on restoring straight razors since the last post in August, and have acquired a WH Morley, a JR Torrey, a Shapleigh Hardware (Diamond Edge), A Worcester Razor Co, a Wade & Butcher (VR), A Hibbard Spencer Bartlett, and two others that I cannot remember at the moment...which I am restoring.
Oh yeah...and a custom Koraat 14-2.0. Shortened a 1/2 inch for better shave control on the face. (Who uses the entire 3" edge on a pass anyways)?
And that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Hope to see more of y'all soon.Last edited by RaymondMillbrae; 10-31-2020 at 04:23 AM.
