Long-time collector, woodworking industry, antique tools, and also many natural sharpening stones. You buy online almost exclusively in Europe, but often bought in local flea markets.
My collection progresses as I take care of their restoration.
Since these stones were used more on the market by cabinet makers than by those who used razors, the conditions in which I find them are always very bad. To be clear, here with us, compared to the English market, for example, oil was always used as a lubricant, often burnt engine oil, or petroleum. So I buy stones that are often unknown, unidentifiable, and under a layer of dust and oil, they reveal the true nature of the stone. You can find my restorations online.
