I’m in the same boat as you - full beard (more or less since I decided to remove the sideburns and clean up around the jaw line). The straight razor makes getting the beard line on my face and around my neck right much easier than using a DE razor. I’ve never used a shavette or single blade safety razor, so can’t comment on that.
