Thread: Shaving has become a passion

Dear Friends,

I have had quite the shaving career up until now. I started out with an electric razor i got from my father about 6 or 7 years ago.

I never really enjoyed the electrical shave and recently decided to start using a multiple blade trow away razor. Of course I went for the cheap brand and didn't get of to a great start (cuts everywhere). I switch to a name brand and feel allot better about it at this point but it still doesn't really float my boat.

Anyhow, I have decided to become a straight razor shaver (or however you call it). I have been a knife enthusiast and retailer for many years and many of my camping and pocket knives are ridiculously sharp. I have always like sharp and beautiful knives (especially damascus) and the straight razor is no exception. I bought some old straight razors and got them up to shape but I haven't really been able to use them to shave (they are really sharp, but not as sharp as i like them to be to have a comfortable shave).

I hope to find a nice straight razor here and maybe some nice honing and stropping equipment so I can fully commit to the art of straight razor shaving
