    Hello, RKP:

You are very welcome. Don't forget to post any questions you might have and you'll have your answer in no time. The knowledge some of the ladies and gentlemen here at SRP have on the world of wet shaving and straight razors is astonishing. What's more, everyone is more than willing to help and guide you.

We're delighted to have you with us.

    Regards,
    Obie

Welcome to SRP. The norton set is a good way to go IME. Good that you have a shave ready razor coming to you to compare your results with the W&B you've got coming. If you haven't already check out the wiki below in my sig line for Lynn's article on the first straight razor shave and his pyramid guide for using the nortons. The wapi can be hit and miss quality wise and some are hard to hone because of that from what I've read. Never had one of my own. Any questions come up ask away and someone will help out.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Jimmy,

Thanks It is good to know I am on the right track with the norton. . Yes, looks like the W&B will be it for my first straight razor shave and looking forward to that. I did read some posts on the Wapi being hit or miss as you said for quality. I have 3 of them so hopully I have atleast one good one. The reason I have 3 is the price was good and I wanted an extra to practice my honing skills and if I mess up so what.. I thought of having one rescaled...
