Thanked: 0Thanks for having me. Eager to shave, eager to learn.
Hello everyone and thanks for having me. I've always wanted a straight razor shaving experience, and my awesome wife got me my first setup for my birthday on the 10th. I can't wait to be enjoying the perfect shave. I've read a good bit, and watched some videos, but I'm still not there. Any tips or "go watch this video, read this article" comments are welcomed. I'm using a Zwilling J.A. Henckels Straight Razor and I'm just learning.
Thanks again for having me.

Thanked: 3795Welcome aboard! You are certainly starting with a good razor. Basically the best two starting points are the Stickys in the the Beginner's section of the forum and the Getting Started section of the Wiki.

Hi and welcome, i found this forum great for any advice i needed. As regards videos i found Jockeys guides on You tube to be excellent from stropping to the shaving techniques, especially on pass angles etc. If you havent seen them already i would definately recommend them. Enjoy yourself and be prepared to buy more- you will try to resist but that second rotational razor is just around the corner !

Welcome to the forum and Happy Belated Birthday. This forum, especially the WIKI are excellent sources of info. On Youtube, there's a guy "Mantic59" who has informative and entertaining videos. Check them out....
