    Welcome aboard Cayne

The Bengals seem to be far and away the most common blade in Aus. I reckon 4 out of 5 razors I find in second hand shops are Cadmans. Like yourself, I've got hold of my Great grandfathers old razor, and spent a while bringing it back to some semblance of respectability.

Where abouts in Oz are you?
I'm up in Hervey Bay meself.

Cheers Mate. Yeh, I have dug around for a bit of information and I think the reason being they are so common over here is because they may have been army issue for our troops in WWII imported from England. Was your Great Grandfather also military?

Anyway, nice place up in Harvey Bay mate, I am originally from the South Coast (Berry / Nowra area), but currently I am in Western Sydney.
