Thread: Hello

I just wanted to quickly introduce myself; I hail from Belfast in the UK, and I have been shaving with a cheap and cheerful straight razor for over five years. I have to say that I have pretty much been winging it all along, and while I acheive a passable shave, and haven't done any damage, I am keen to learn a lot more before I invest in some new hardware. I will probaby be asking some stupidly obviouse questions, I apologise in advance!

You have come to the right place to get information and advice about using your straight razor and I am sure that your results will improve dramatically. We're pretty much all about helping each other get better shaves and "advancing the art".

Thanks Bill, I don't know why I haven't sought help and advise before, I guess I didn't realise there was a vibrant comunity of straight razor users, I have never met anyone else who uses one lol!

Well, Welcome to the club. When I tell people I shave with a straight razor, I usually get shock and awe, So your in good company...
