Default Intro from old guy from old Virginia

I am not actually all that new to the forum but, have been guilty of looking and learning without thanking and contributing. That's over. I have picked up MANY useful tidbits of information and some big ones, too. I'd like to thank Lynn and all the other, super proficient, honers and straight shavers for sharing their expertise.

I am a semi-retired former engineer, soldier, manager and salesman. As for my moniker: I wind my watch, pack my pipe, load film into my cameras, and sharpen my razors. I am not a luddite. I prefer "traditionalist". I enjoy, and would not give up, my computer or HD satellite television. However, I enjoy the rituals of accomplishing tasks with quality non-disposable tools. My spouse and offspring think I'm crazy. Tough!!

throwing steel in the garbage bin is bad, mkay? Try explaining that to your spouse&offspring... if they get it, they won't think you're crazy anymore..

Welcome! I think many of us owe a debt of gratitude to Lynn and many of the other senior members for taking the time to mentor.
