my name is audric, 24.

I just signed up, I bought my first straight razor which I haven't been able to use yet because I cannot get it sharp enough.

I am therefore looking for someone providing that service in the Jacksonville FL area ^^

BanjoTom nailed it. I got my first razor new, but it was honed by Lynn, and his dvd has been the core curriculm for learning the straight. Of course SRP is outstanding. I would highly recommend getting the first razor professionally hone just to make sure you have a benchmark for your own honing later on. There may be some other members offering honing in the vendors section.

If you would like to get off to a easy start shaving with a straight, you would take Rich up on his offer. There is nothing like a mentor versus reading or a video. There are several other items you will have to purchase like a strop, shave soap, and a brush to get the full effects of a gentleman's shave. We will help you spend all you want
