Default I never knew until now

Yup I'm a newbie and yes I'm waiting to slice and dice skin to mix with hair. The cool thing is I hear chicks dig scars and my fiance, the lovely woman who provided the supplies for me to start shaving properly, does have emergency numbers on speed dial. I have now shaved for the 4th time with a TI and so far it is far more enjoyable than my old sensor excel. I've also stropped my razor for the first time and well.....we'll see. Its a learning experience and I hope not to screw up too badly. Just wanted to say hi and that I have appreciated reading many of the posts here. This forum has put me in the right direction so thanks to all of the unnamed sources that I have listened to.

Welcome so SRP and congrats on your first straight shaves. You are a lucky man indeed to have a woman who not only doesn't think you are crazy for being intersted in straights, but gets you the gear as well.

Welcome. Take your time when stropping, speed will come, for now, go for consistency.
Mind your angle when you shave, that's probably the biggest mistake made by new wet shavers.

    Enjoy,

Glad you are enjoying your initial experiences. The more time you spend here the more names you'll learn. You must excuse some of us who use proper names rather than screen names at times.
I quickly found stropping to be enjoyable and a way to help focus before shaving. Take Rich's advice start slow, relax and enjoy.
