The Dovo yellow band paste is non abrasive. It is a leather conditioner meant to keep your strop from drying and cracking. A popular alternative is Pure neatsfoot oil. If your strop is new it may not need to be conditioned but it may not hurt. Just use a very small amount. A pea sized drop should be sufficient.
