Greets from Stockholm!
Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm Panos , a Greek guy who lives in Sweden, Sthlm for several years now. That's the first forum I join and I'm here for the reason that all of you are, pure passion for shiny ultra sharp blades. I must say i admire most of you guys, like i do with everybody who masters an art, well
It has been 6 months that I use a straight and I am more than addicted, that means that i leave aside radical things, just to get busy with everything has to do with razor blades. Just to say, my gfriend says that shaving to a man is mazochistic ceremonial leftovers, hmm.. For me better its a kind of meditation that i do daily, to come closer to myself for those 10 minutes and it works just fine, actually sometimes it can fix the rest of my day.
I have to say that after reading wiki, I 've been sneaking like a ghost on threads and finding my answers for some time now, but I finally decided to get introduced and ask more specific questions as the thing gets more and more complicated..
I have pretty much the basic stuff as a couple of dovo strops, chinese synthetic stones (4/8 and 12K) razors mostly from Eskilstuna, a couple of vintage Sheffields and a starter dovo "best". Several days ago, I ordered my first TI but unfortunately I received such a bad individual. It had all the known QC issues gathered together in one razor, so I sent it back and I'm waiting for one of their "new" forgings, with c135. The vendor made sure that I will have no complains after that, so everything is fine.
I dont know even how to use good enough that forum yet, but I will find out soon, I hope. ,
If I do have any questions?? Only a couple of dozens for now that keep bugging me, but I will have to figure out how to categorize them properly and other functional stuff like that.
Thanks in advance for reading this, its an honor to participate in such a forum
Cheers from frozen Stockholm (-20 Celsius by now)
