    Hey guys! I'm just getting to take my first step in the world of straight razor shaving. I will be ordering my first razor very soon. It is really great to have found a site like this to help. I look forward to posting with you guys for a long time.

    Welcome to SRP!

    I suggest getting comfy, and read....read....read....and then read some more. The beginners tips every month by gssixgun are excellent, as are the Wiki and stickies in the beginners thread.

    And there's lots of really nice people on here to lend a hand!

    There's lots to learn here, take your time. Don't go rushing into anything that involves sharp blades. Good luck, and don't expect much until you get some practice shaves in.
