DOVO's are great shavers when properly honed, but a lot of sellers don't sell them honed to their full potential.

They come from the factory honed on a grinding wheel and stripped, where's they need to be honed by hand on a series of stones to get the best out of them.

The other thing that will affect the shave is the pre shave prep with the lather and hot towels, and a good stropping. What soap and strop are you using? What do you do for pre shave prep?
