Hello from Ontario Canada
Been lurking for a few days and decided to create my account today. Really a ton of information to digest for a newbie like myself. I am in the process of ordering my first Straight now and am overwhelemed by the product choices and in some cases prices.
I started my quest towards striaghts a number of years ago. I was working near Toronto and once a week would treat myself to a wet shave and a great little "Barber Shop". I so looked forward to that 30 minutes of peace every week. I started to change my daily routine to include using Soap's and Brush, preshave and post shave treatments a year or so ago and now feel I want to advacning to a straight.
Being a local small business owner I feel obligated to shop locallly for my new shaving kit if possible or at least keep it Canadian if/where possible. But I have to say the prices offered by some of the American Mail order compnaies sure make it a tuff thing to stick to.
Anyway that is me and I look forward to getting my new straight and starting my journey...On that note think I will head down to Toronto this weekend and treat myself to that wet shave I used to so love.

Thanked: 20Welcome from a fellow Ontarian. There are a few Canadian sellers online that you could get your gear from fendrihan.com, shaingstyle.com, and rasagepoulin.com. Like Basil said if you can make to the Toronto meet that would be great. There is a great wealth of information here and the guys are happy to help with any of your questions. Good luck with your journey.

Thanked: 993Hey Hey, another Canuck and fellow Ontarian!
Welcome to SRP. This is the place to begin that journey, and I believe you have summed it up nicely by saying there is a wealth of information to digest. There is, absolutely. Take it slow and enjoy it. I love to come home at the end of a work day and relax on SRP for a while.
Welcome again,
Nathan
