    Default Greeting from Maine.

Hello Fellow straight shavers. I am well versed in the DE razors. However I was just recently introduced to the straight razor. I am forever greatful for the friend that allowed me to try a razor in which I later purchased from him. I have an interest in a straight razor shave, simply because I was fed up with paying ridiculous amounts of money for the multiple blade gimmicks. My grandfathers always spoke of what a straight shave felt like. That made me very curious from a young age. In the passing of one of my grandfathers I was given a nice DE Gillette red tip. I love it. I have found this site to be immensly helpful and will be posting pictures of my daily shave as well as my newest find. Also wondering about anyone from Maine on here??

Greetings from Down East, Naters, and welcome to SRP! Nice to see a fellow Mainer. I think there are a few guys one here also from Maine, but it's pretty sparse. This place has so much great information that it overwhelms the ol' noodle, but it's a lot of fun. Feel free to shoot me a PM if you have any questions, always happy to help someone from home!

Welcome Naters! I'm also from Maine, near Farmington. As others have said, tons of helpful info around here. I'm still a newb, but if you have any questions, let me know.

Hello fellow Mainer(s)!!! It's definitely good to see some good Maine folk on here. You stumbled on a good place Naters. I live in San Diego now but my wife is also from Maine and we go back to visit our families once a year or so. My hometown is Lisbon and my wife's is Poland Spring. Welcome!!
