Thanked: 0Well, I shaved my whole face tonight. Sort of. I didn't get everything off, but I did it safely (that's a start!). Woohoo.

Safely is the key. For the first week or so I would clean up with my old cartidge and then gradually i needed to clean up less and less. by week 2 i had forgot I was cleaning things up.
Really take you time stropping, doing a good job on a quality strop makes a world of difference on the razor. Who knew shaving could be so much more than a daily chore?

Congratulations! +1 to dyimages's advice of using your previous shaving method to clean up the tougher areas until you gain more skill. Eventually you'll ditch your cartridges and just want to use a straight, I know I did. However, sometimes that darn snooze button is very tempting to hit once or twice, so I added a DE to my rotation to still get either a DFS or BBS in less time when I don't have time for the straight. Keep at it and you'll be amazed once everything clicks!
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???
