Thanked: 0Checking in
Hello everyone - I have been a dedicated wet shaver with a DE razor for over two years now and have decided that the time is right to try a straight razor. Any suggestions on the size and type of razor would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers - Dave

Thanked: 993Hey there,
I would recommend checking out straight razor designs if you haven't already done so. They have monthly specials, and also sell complete set ups that include a brush, razor, strop and soap. They are pretty good deals, and the razors come honed Lynn.
Good luck.

+1 for checking out SRD for getting started, as for razor size, I think most here would probably recommend a 5/8 razor for your first. That size is fairly easy to maneuver around one's face without much difficulty. Once you have the technique down for shaving with a straight, then the fun begins trying out differents sizes and types of grinds.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Hi Dave and welcome to SRP.
Am I to assume that you are in Australia?

I used a DE for 15 years before finding this site...
Any straight will shave, it's all a matter of personal taste and budget.
Just stay away from cheapo ebay specials and get something professionally honed.
Ejoy,
Jeff.
