Thread: Hello from Alabama

I bought a few straightrazors at an estate auction a couple years ago I've been able to find all but one of them on the net, the Gentleman that owned these was a World War Vet and this razor has engravings that are hard to read but on the blade it has "NIAZI reg" on the neck of the blade and "10 labre gurantie" on the blade, Wald 151 on the blade and wald solingen on the opposite side of the neck of blade, I was wondering if this is NAZI issued? and what the value might be thanks, Darryl

My name is Florian and I am from Germany, neither a nazi nor a racist.

You got yourself a mighty fine razor. It is definitely not nazi issued; on the shank it says "NIAZI" which is a brand of Carl Friedrich ERN from "Solingen-Wald, Germany". They made really decent razors, such as "crown and sword".

"10 labre gurantie" means "10 Jahre Garantie" (german). In English it's "10 years guarantee".
