Talking Hello from New York State

Hey guys I'm Jim. Just wanted to say hello. I just received my first straight razor today a Dovo 506b. After my first shave with just one cut (I'm pretty proud of myself) Haha. My second priority was after much research was to join the best forum for straight razors etc. So here I find myself. I hope to learn a lot from you all and hopefully after time I will be able help others. Well that's my bit.

Welcome, Jim. Only one cut? You're not trying hard enough! Obviously, you haven't listened to others long enough to realize this is too dangerous an exercise and one that's a little obsolete. You'll cut your ear off if you do this long enough.

Isn't it just repulsive to listen to other 'men' squawk and moan about how they could never do such a thing? Isn't it just totally gratifying to know you CAN shave with a straight and not cut your jugular.

    Welcome to all things manly.

Welcome Jim, as you can tell it is not all that hard... the hard part is controlling your desires to acquire every razor and razor relating item known to mankind. then devising a new one or two yourself.

    enjoy,
    jim

We sure can get brutal weather-but this winter has been pretty calm. Got some kind of nasty storm headed our way tomorrow though. Maybe Florida...
